What a Day
It is after 6:30 now and we are just waiting on Jim, Joe and the kids to arrive from Allentown. They were supposed to call us at some point but they haven’t so far. While we are waiting I am doing laundry and ironing my suit for tomorrow. Mom is working on her computer.
She spent most of the day cleaning, shopping and getting her haircut. She got it cut a couple of days ago from our regular hair salon and the woman destroyed it. Carmen has now lost two customers and from what Mom said she was completely unprofessional. She best not come to me for anything or her ass is grass.
Okay the crew called it will be another hour before they get here. Mom is trying to figure out what they want on the pizza. It sounds like she will have them call again to let us know when they get closer so she can order the pizza.
Work went well got a lot done. Bob and Cece picked me up after 7:30 and we were at the office just before 8. We laughed and joked about a lot of stuff. My godchild Heddie was bitten on the ear at a puppy park last week but she handled herself quite well.
I heard from Kristin Becker and she said everything is good. The Fibroids are not a concern and unless I get really bad back pains they are not going to do anything. Now I just have to schedule my mammogram.
Now that it is just before 10. Jim is sleeping, Joe is talking to Mom about things in general (they were discussing restaurant choices for tomorrow) and the kids are all watching TV. I believed Joe when he said the kids were going outside to camp (its about 50 degrees right now) out. The sleeping arrangements are as such. The girls get Mom’s room; the boys are sleeping in the blue room. Jamie has a sleeping bag. Mom wants to the sofa.
While I was at the pizza place getting the pizza I ran into Joe’s Brother Bob. I didn’t tell him Joe was on his way here. It just didn’t feel right. I know that if my siblings were living out of state and didn’t let me know they were coming to town I would feel a little hurt.
Well there is a long day ahead of me and I still have to take care of laundry before anyone else gets up and I want to take a walk tomorrow before the house wakes up.
My to do list for today
I had already had this written up and after the computer sneezed I accidently deleted it. I was not pleased but that’s life.
My to do list:
- Change sheets on bed and wash
- Vacuum and dust room
- Vacuum downstairs
- Going shopping
Mom talked with Jim last night they were discussing sleeping arrangements and Mom is insisting she will take the couch. While the boys decide where they will sleep, I am betting Jim will take Mom’s room as he is her son. J. I did offer my room for Mom but she declined.
Mom slept until 9 this morning. Apparently she is fighting a cold and didn’t sleep until later on. I spent time on the computer and emptying the dishwasher. Once she got up I started on the “list”.
It was well after 12 when I finished cleaning. Mom washed the floors in the kitchen and bathroom and I took a shower and got dressed. It was even later when I went shopping. I had to come back to the house to pick up my wallet that I left behind. You can probably imagine my annoyance level by then.
Mom had pretty much finished her cooking for the night by 6:30. I had dinner and she called Mike and Tessa and invited them for dinner tomorrow and they will be joining us. Mom left for the 8 pm Easter Vigil around 7:30. I continued to watch TOH and eat ice cream. I even watched the Ten Commandments but I have seen it enough times now I pretty much know the story. Actually I don’t think I ever saw the ending.
Roberta called me today to invite me to a play or show up in Waterbury this June. I don’t know much about what’s playing but we will be going with her friend Debbie (the woman I rode/roomed with for Miriam and Ben’s Wedding. It should be really fun.
I talked with Jim today as well. I had to remind him to bring a book that Mom wanted back. We talked about the kids and what he was up to. I am really looking forward to seeing him.
I think I am going to go to sleep. I am tired and will have a full day tomorrow.
